EDEN currently employes more than 170 people dedicated to our mission of to provide housing solutions to people facing the challenges of housing insecurities and homelessness. Elaine became EDEN's third-ever Executive Director in 2018. She has been employed at EDEN for 25 years. Elaine directly oversees the Compliance, Real Estate and Construction, Legal, and Fund Development and Communications Departments as well as supervises the COO and CFO positions. Elaine holds a master's degree in Social Administration from CWRU's Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, with a concentration in Community Development, and a bachelor's degree from John Carroll University. She is also a Licensed Social Worker, and has worked in the area of Social Services for over 25 years. In selecting Elaine for the position of Executive Director, EDEN's Board recognized that Elaine brings great knowledge and skill to the position, as well as tremendous empathy for EDEN's clients, and an unwavering commitment to the organization's mission. Elaine is also highly adept at cohesive collaboration, and is an active leader in numerous community partnerships.
Sharon joined EDEN in 2019 after serving for seven years as the Chief Financial Officer for a Cleveland Community Development Organization. As the Chief Financial Officer, Sharon oversees the finance, human resources, IT and administrative service areas of the organization. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University with an Accounting/Finance concentration, and a Master of Educational Administration degree from Baldwin Wallace University. Sharon is a certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in public, private and non-profit accounting. She also is experienced in Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development and reporting. .
Emma was named EDEN’s Chief Operating Officer in June 2021 after serving as Director of Compliance since 2014. Emma manages Housing Programs, Property Management, Inspections, and Assets & Facilities. Prior to joining EDEN, Emma was Deputy Director of NEOSCC and Development Director for the City of Lakewood. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland (Maryland’s Public Honors College) in Economics, Public Policy, History and Political Science. She earned a Master’s of Science in Urban Studies, Economic Development from Cleveland State University’s Levin School of Urban Affairs. Emma has extensive knowledge of federal funds, affordable housing, program and non-profit management, and compliance, has served on several nonprofit boards, and is an active civic volunteer in her community.
