After many months of planning, construction, and unwavering commitment, we are thrilled to begin welcoming guests into the newly renovated and completed portion of the Norma Herr Center.

As the owner of the Norma Herr Center and developer of the renovation and expansion, EDEN is proud to bring this transformational project to life in collaboration with the dedicated partner organizations and individuals who have worked tirelessly on this critical project, and those who serve those experiencing homelessness every day. This milestone reflects a shared commitment to ensuring every person who walks through our doors is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and hope.

This move represents far more than a transition into a renovated building and additional new building. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in providing a space designed to foster safety, stability, healing, and opportunity. Every aspect of the renovation and expansion was guided by the belief that everyone deserves a welcoming, supportive environment that reflects the respect they deserve as they work toward permanent housing and a brighter future.

Completing a project of this magnitude has been no small feat. We are very grateful to our project partners for their dedication, determination and vision. We are also deeply grateful to our shelter guests for their extraordinary patience, flexibility, and resilience throughout the construction process. Their perseverance has inspired us every step of the way.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the many staff members, partners, contractors, volunteers, and supporters whose collaboration and countless hours of effort made this milestone possible. Together, we have created a space that will better serve the most vulnerable members in our community for years to come.

While there is still more to come as the project reaches full completion, today is an exciting milestone as the first guests begin settling into their beautiful new surroundings after moving in to the building yesterday.

We look forward to commemorating this incredible transformation with the community.
